Bookends is a dramatic retelling of a life on the stage and across the table. Liberally seasoned with intimate magic and biographical humor, Bookends weaves an inspirational tapestry of art, loss, struggle, and love. From the streets of a southern city to an honored place at the Magic Castle to entertaining the troops for the USO, Hannibal has had an amazing journey. And he wants to tell you about it.

Hannibal (his real name) has been onstage since the age of six, when his mother decided "a gentleman should know how to dance" and signed him up for classes. During a recital, young Mr. H was cast in The Music Man and the journey began. After two decades of dramatic storytelling, the art of performance conjuring became the primary vehicle.

Hannibal was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He hasn't had a 'real job' since 1992. No awards to speak of, but he has 4 incredible children and 5 magical grandkids. That's the best prize there ever was.
