About this Performance

The Pittsburgh Symphony presents an evening of dynamic and compelling music, featuring Michael Rusinek, the Orchestra's Principal Clarinet, in Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, one of the most lyrical and beloved works in the repertoire. The program also includes the U.S. premiere of a new work by Samy Moussa, a PSO commission that brings fresh, contemporary voices to the stage. Rounding out the concert, Manfred Honeck conducts Mahler's First Symphony, a sweeping masterpiece full of youthful energy, humor, and dramatic contrasts.
