Bookish in the ‘Burgh is a festival in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District celebrating teen literature and encouraging lifelong reading by bringing acclaimed authors of teen literature and their readers together. The Festival aims to champion the stories of historically marginalized groups of people and to highlight and center teen voices. The annual Bookish in the ‘Burgh festival, planned with the help of a team of Teen Ambassadors, features a diverse line-up of programs, including author panels and interviews, opportunities for teens to interact with their peers in a safe and fun environment, book signing events for readers to meet their favorite authors of teen literature, workshops created just for teens, professional development opportunities for informal and formal educators.
Don’t want to wait for the in-person Festival? There are opportunities to connect with Bookish in the ‘Burgh year round!
