EmBody: The ReSanctification of Black & Brown Queerness is a multidisciplinary performance art experience intended to restore the understanding that Queer and Trans bodies, stories, sensuality, and identities are Sacred.

Deep in our ancestral memory, across cultures, Queer and Transgender people held revered roles as spiritual teachers, healers, shamans, and bridges between the physical and spiritual realms. Yet today, members of BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ communities continue to be demonized, devalued, and erased. 

Through poetry, live vocals, instrumental music, healing rituals, and choreography spanning multiple movement styles, EmBody follows the journey of a Divine Queer Soul as they enter the world and navigate the spirals of reality. Exploring ancestral veneration, decolonization, identity, community, death, and rebirth, we breathe new life into the Queer origin story.
